BFA in Film Production Course Requirements

Computer Lab
The brand new Theatre & Film computer lab is the hub of our production program. The lab is equipped with 17 PC workstations loaded with Avid Media Composer.

The BFA in Film Production Degree requires 120 total semester hours, including 73 hours of film related courses. The following classes are required of all BFA students:

WRIT 100 or 101 and Writ 102 or Liba 102 (6 hours)
200-LEVEL ENGLISH LITERATURE COURSES (6 Hours)
BEHAVIORAL/SOCIAL SCIENCES (6 Hours)
HISTORY (HIS 101, 102 preferred; 6 Hours)
NATURAL SCIENCE (WITH LABORATORIES; 6-8 hours)
MATHEMATICS (from among college algebra, quantitative reasoning, or a more advanced mathematics course; 3 hours)

In addition to the core curriculum and film related requirements, the BFA in Film Production requires elective hours (10-12) chosen from any area to bring the total number of credits to 120 semester hours.
