Haley Strode

Haley Strode has proven her skills on both screen and stage, effortlessly executing dramatic and comedic roles for which she has received significant praise. With charm, sharp intelligence, and a vibrant personality, Haley is a multitalented actress who has showcased her talent across the board.

Haley’s show Wendell & Vinnie will premiere on Nick at Nite Feb 17, 2013. Created by Emmy-winning writer Jay Kogen and co-starring Jerry Trainor and Nicole Sullivan, Wendell & Vinnie centers on the exploits of an irresponsible Vinnie (Trainor) and his 12-year-old nephew, Wendell. Haley plays Wendell & Vinnie’s neighbor, Taryn. Sweet, endearing and upbeat, Taryn is often the voice of reason and a romantic interest for Vinnie, she quickly forms a close bond with the two and becomes an important part of their day to day adventures.

On the big screen, Haley most recently played Marcia Keeler, wife to Giovanni Ribisi’s Conway Keeler in 2013’s Warner Bros. release, Gangster Squad. Haley shares the screen with Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn and Emma Stone.

Haley has amassed an impressive list of television appearances including a recurring role on Comedy Central’s, Important Things with Demetri Martin as well as guest appearances on Mind of Mencia andLewis Black’s: Root of All Evil, Disney’s Pack of Wolves, CBS’ CSI: NY, ABC’s Castle, NBC’s Whitney, CBS’ Vegas, TNT’s L.A. Noir and NBC’s The New Normal.

Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2007 Haley immediately booked the role of Windy Stevens in indie film, Las Angeles. Although the role was written for a Midwesterner, Haley’s audition portrayal of a “wide-eyed” girl from the south won producers over and the role was re-written for her. In early 2012 Haley completed filming on Watercolor Postcards. Directed by Rajeev Dassani, winner of a 2008 Student Academy Award, Watercolor Postcards sees Haley playing the scheming nemesis of Tony nominee, Laura Bell Bundy and also stars John C. McGinley and Bailee Madison. Additionally, Haley narrated Jess+Moss, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011 to reviews in which Haley received praise for her work. Jess+ Moss also won Best Feature at the Prague Fresh Film Festival and Best Narrative at the Dallas International Film Festival.

Bringing her charisma to the theatre stage, Haley received rave reviews, being heralded as “Perky perfection” (Backstage Magazine) for her performance in the Katselas Theatre Company’s production of Le Ronde de Lunch. The comedy written by Peter Lefcourt received LA Stage Alliance’s prestigious Ovation Recommendation and awarded Stage Scene LA’s Best Production 2009-2010. Haley’s previous theatre credits include Oxford Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as Viola, A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Hippolyta, Othello as Desdemona, Romeo and Juliet as Juliet and Ole Miss Theatre's A Streetcar Named Desire as Stella, Noises Off! as Brooke And The Importance of Being Earnest as Cecily.

Haley grew up on her family’s fourth generation farm in Stanley, Kentucky and has been driving tractors since before she could drive a car. She attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford (Ole Miss), where she graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts. Haley currently resides in Los Angeles.
