"Tube" wins Best Mississippi Narrative at 2013 Oxford Film Festival

Nathan Burke

Congratulations to UM filmmakers Jordan Berger and Houston Settle on winning the Spirt of the Hoka Award for Best Mississippi Narrative for their film "Tube" at the 10th annual Oxford Film Festival. Jordan Berger (director, co-writer) and Houston Settle (co-writer, actor) became the youngest filmmakers ever to receive the honor. The film, which follows an elderly woman who lives alone surrounded by items that she has purchased from the Home Shopping channel, explores themes of nature and the pitfalls of consumerism.

This award follows on the heels of Jordan and Houston's film Current being an official selection at the 2012 Orlando Fringe Festival. You can read more about Current here.
